Its like living in a real time facebook. There are lots of billboards and glittering advertisements all around me. They prey on my vulnerabilities, attracting me to spend more and more on food, brands, staycations and what not.

It seems like you are in a constant race. You actually feel compelled to run after these pleasures. A consumerist society keeps you in a constant state of dissatisfaction. It feeds and flourishes on your discontentment and never ending desires . It makes fun of your simplicity. It makes you feel as if you are losing a lot by not running after these pleasures. The constant need of entertainment and pleasure, never lets you appreciate the true beauty of the present moment. You stop thanking for whatever you have. Its just the empty glass you can see, that is , the unfulfilled desires. You are always seeking to get more and more. Unfortunately, then comes the time when the desires are on the driving seat. You keep on running after desires, thinking they will give you the happiness you need.

The happiness was never in the fulfillment, it was in the gratitude of what you have.😌
